High temperature corrosion is a growing problem today. New fuels, higher electricity demands and steam efficiency makes the risk for corrosion higher.

A corrosion project can contain overheaters, tubes and other corrosive materials. A special designed air cooled probe is placed in the corrosive environment. The probe have place for several different materials at the same time and they will be exposed to the specified atmosphere. After the corrosion test we analyse each material with a scanning electron microscope, (SEM).

The results from a project can lead to a new material or a new fuel mix, or suggest preventive actions against corrosions and deposits. In the end this will make your plant more available.
